he was born in madurai, in the south of india, and raised in saudi arabia, in someone else's language, under someone else's rules. he learned early that every place runs on habits nobody writes down.

when he was ten, his family moved to canada. a second school system, a third culture, snow he had never seen, and everything to learn again by watching. by the third country, he stopped waiting for change to be over.

then, at university, he found breakdancing. he skipped his carleton classes to practise across town, drilling six-steps and freezes alone in empty rooms so that, for thirty seconds on a stage, it would look like nothing at all. he has been doing some version of that ever since.

he grew up to run the teams that keep other people's work running. at assent, the team he led counted fifty-five people around the world. the tools were never the hard part. the habits were.

then ai arrived. he chaired the council that decided how a whole company would adopt it: what to allow, what to measure, how to bring people along. a license was a purchase. adoption was a choice people made on a busy tuesday.

along the way, he co-founded brown and lovely, an instagram page and a podcast where south asian men talk honestly about mental health. it sits dormant now. not everything he started kept going.

in 2025, he was fired. the company called it a business decision. the role had been his own creation, the council his own proposal, and he still believes the work was good. he never did learn the whole reason. everything he had built stood on borrowed ground. he wanted ground of his own.

so he started nilai partners: measure one workflow, change it inside real work, and show the owner what moved. the start was slow. the clients came one at a time, and so did the proof.

now he works from ottawa, helping owners change how their companies work, and writing and speaking about what makes ai stick. the next owner, the next room, the next busy tuesday.
